Overnight Front Office Host | Thompson Palm Springs Resort

About the role

The Overnight Front Office Host plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate revenue allocation, daily reconciliation, and timely report completion. They also manage front office operations, handle wake-up calls, and serve as a manager on duty during overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily audit procedures in accordance with hotel and company standards
• Verify and confirm wake-up call requests, ensuring proper handling and follow-up
• Prepare the front office for shifts, resetting systems and operations
• Serve as a Front Desk Host and act as a Manager on Duty during overnight hours
• Manage communication duties as PBX operator during the audit shift
• Participate in front office meetings and engage in training and cross-training opportunities
• Proactively greet guests with a friendly and welcoming demeanor
• Engage in other duties as assigned by Rooms leadership

Requirements

• Previous experience working at a hotel/resort preferred
• Proficiency in OPERA system is a plus
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
• Refined verbal communication skills
• Physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight
• Weekend and holiday availability

Pay

The budgeted rate for this role is $22.00 plus $1 overnight shift premium. The annual hourly rate for this position is subject to individual hourly rate decisions based on experience and education.

Schedule

This is a nonexempt (hourly) role with weekend and holiday availability required.
