Front Office Host (Full Time)

About the role

We’re looking for a warm, energetic, and service-driven Front Desk Host to join our team in the heart of San Diego’s iconic Gaslamp District. As the first point of contact for our guests, you’ll set the tone for their entire stay—creating a welcoming, personalized, and memorable experience that reflects the spirit of our lifestyle hotel.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with genuine enthusiasm and provide seamless check-in and check-out experiences
• Handle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency
• Manage room assignments, reservations, and billing with accuracy and attention to detail
• Collaborate closely with housekeeping, engineering, and F&B teams to ensure smooth daily operations
• Deliver personalized recommendations on local dining, nightlife, events, and hidden gems throughout the Gaslamp Quarter
• Maintain a polished, inviting lobby atmosphere that reflects the hotel’s brand and culture
• Support the overall guest journey by anticipating needs and going above and beyond whenever possible

Qualifications

• Full availability, including possible overnights, weekends, and holidays
• Strong customer service skills with a genuine passion for hospitality
• Strong communication skills and a natural ability to connect with guests and team members
• Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
• Tech-savvy and quick to learn property management systems
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• A strong communicator with excellent problem-solving skills
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to teamwork
• Previous hotel or customer service experience preferred, but not required

Pay

The hourly rate for this position is $23.81.
