About the role
This position is responsible for anticipating guest needs, exceeding expectations, and implementing creative solutions to provide exceptional service. You will process check-ins and check-outs, assist guests with reservations and requests, and uphold Hampton Inn’s high standards of quality to ensure guest satisfaction. This is an on-site, full-time role requiring flexible availability, including some weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Anticipate and respond to guests in a friendly and positive manner, providing the highest level of service.
- Process check-ins and check-outs, verify billing, create reservations, and handle special requests.
- Assist guests with knowledge of hotel property, local attractions, and hours of operation for hotel outlets and services.
- Work as a team player to meet guest needs and support other departments as necessary.
- Follow Hampton Inn’s guest service recovery program.
- Utilize proper selling techniques to maximize room revenues, monitor room availability, and adhere to booking policies.
- Drive sales and revenue by up-selling rooms and amenities.
- Handle cash and financial transactions following Hampton Inn procedures.
- Adhere to cost controls to reduce expenses and waste.
- Plan, organize, and prioritize work duties to meet required volume and deadlines.
- Follow Hampton Inn’s general work rules and department procedures, including attending required meetings.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with brand, local, state, and federal regulations.
- Follow procedures for guest and team member incidents and be knowledgeable of hotel emergency protocols.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1+ years of prior guest service experience, preferably in a hospitality setting.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail, customer-focused mindset, and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis.

Pay
The actual base pay offered is determined by several variables, including the applicant’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, and certifications or professional licenses held. Base pay is one component of the total compensation package, which also includes healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, and bonus plans.
