About the role
This position is responsible for anticipating guest needs, exceeding expectations, and implementing creative solutions to provide exceptional service. You will process check-ins and check-outs, assist guests with reservations and requests, and uphold the high standards of quality set by B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group to ensure guest satisfaction. AM shifts are required, typically from 7 AM to 5 PM, including some weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Anticipate and respond to guests in a friendly and positive manner, providing the highest level of service.
- Process check-ins and check-outs, verify billing, create reservations, and handle special requests.
- Assist guests with knowledge of hotel property, local attractions, and hours of operation for hotel outlets and services.
- Work as a team player to meet guest needs and support other departments as necessary.
- Follow B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group’s guest service recovery program.
- Utilize proper selling techniques to maximize room revenues, monitor room availability, and follow booking policies and procedures.
- Drive sales and maximize revenue by up-selling rooms and amenities.
- Follow B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group procedures for handling cash and processing financial transactions.
- Adhere to cost controls to reduce expenses and waste.
- Plan, organize, and prioritize work duties to meet required workload volumes.
- Adhere to B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group general work rules and department procedures.
- Attend all required department and hotel meetings.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with company, brand, and regulatory standards.
- Follow procedures for guest and team member incidents and be knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1+ years of prior guest service experience, preferably in a hospitality setting.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail, customer-focused mindset, and ability to perform job duties in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis.

Pay
The base pay for this position ranges from $15 to $17 per hour. The actual base pay offered is determined by variables such as qualifications, relevant experience, skills, education, and certifications. Base pay is one component of the total compensation package, which also includes healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short- and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, and bonus plans.
