About the role

Sylvan Learning is a franchise organization and the leading provider of tutoring to students of all ages, grades, and skill levels. This opportunity involves working with established franchisees to enhance their performance and ensure their locations continue to grow year over year.

Responsibilities

  • Drive consistent impact on system-wide metrics such as same-store sales growth, unit profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accountability to personal and franchisee KPIs aligned with compensation goals.
  • Exhibit a “coach-owner” mindset, treating each franchisee's business as your own.
  • Embrace data-driven decision-making, follow up relentlessly, and deliver tangible improvements across your portfolio.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in a business environment, customer service, or a role involving problem-solving, multi-unit management, and multi-channel communication.
  • Proven track record of driving measurable business results (i.e., revenue growth, profitability improvement, and customer experience gains).
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others and hold them accountable to goals.
  • Experience with data analysis, goal setting, and performance-based management.
  • Competitive and entrepreneurial mindset, as well as motivated by achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Experience working with P&L statements and using metrics to drive coaching priorities.

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine desire to help others and build positive relationships.
  • Basic analytical skills with the ability to understand and interpret data.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable with learning new software/CRM systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • A self-starter with a strong desire to learn, grow, and take initiative.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.

Skills

  • Ability to travel up to 40% to visit franchisee locations and attend industry events as needed.
  • Preferred familiarity with the franchise business model.
  • Experience in a support or coaching role.
