Strategic Account Management & Sales Growth
- Achieve assigned annual sales, volume, and gross profit objectives for commercial vehicle accessories across a portfolio of national fleet accounts.
- Analyze corporate fleet operations to recommend tailored vehicle accessory solutions (e.g., shelving, telematics hardware, security systems, exterior customizations) that improve driver safety and operational efficiency.
- Develop, propose, and negotiate competitive commercial pricing agreements and volume discount structures for national accounts.
- Possess strong communication and negotiation skills to partner closely with commercial upfitters, ship-thru coordinators, and body manufacturers to ensure flawless integration of approved accessories during the vehicle build cycle.
- Collaborate with Commercial Sales, Engineering, and Quality teams to troubleshoot deployment challenges and ensure accessories meet strict factory standards.
- Utilize CRM tools to track customer relationships, sales pipelines, and accessory configurations from initial order to final vehicle delivery.
- Serve as the national authority on the commercial accessories catalog, product enhancements, and competitive marketplace alternatives.
- Represent the brand at national fleet conventions, trade shows, and industry association events to promote product offerings and secure conquest accounts.
- Collect and deliver field insights to internal product development teams regarding fleet customer preferences, required innovations, and quality feedback.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of B2B automotive sales or corporate account management experience, ideally specializing in commercial fleets, automotive accessories, or upfitting.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the automotive OEM fleet environment, dealer networks, and commercial vehicle segments (such as Transit vans and commercial trucks).
- Technical & Professional Competencies: Familiarity with vehicle electrical architecture, cargo management integration, and fleet telematics hardware; strong capability in financial tracking, analyzing sales margins, reading engineering layouts, and managing complex commercial pricing allowances; exceptional presentation and negotiation skills; ability and willingness to travel up to 90% nationally to engage clients, upfitters, and regional distribution centers.
