Foodservice Supervisor

About the role

Provides leadership in food service operations, ensuring quality and timely delivery of products and services. Assists management in menu development, staff recruitment, training, scheduling, and discipline. Oversees daily staff activities, monitors performance, and enforces safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards. Serves as a resource for staff, patients, and guests, addressing questions and resolving issues. Contributes to policy development, staff evaluation, and performance improvement initiatives. May perform operational duties such as cash handling, cooking, or patient meal rounds, and may handle opening/closing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervises all aspects of Foodservices, ensuring adherence to policies and standards.
• Coordinates staff schedules and oversees daily activities.
• Conducts meetings, monitors performance, and provides feedback.
• Assists with recruitment, training, and staff development.
• Ensures compliance with safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
• Acts as a key contact for staff, patients, and guests.
• Supports policy implementation and performance improvement efforts.
• Performs operational tasks as needed to meet service timelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Relevant experience may include a combination of work experience and education (e.g., associate’s or bachelor’s degree).
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple responsibilities.
