Foodservice Supervisor

About the role

Oversees foodservice operations, ensuring quality food and service for all customers. Assists management with menu development, staff recruitment, training, scheduling, and disciplinary actions. Coordinates daily staff activities, monitors performance, and ensures compliance with safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards. Acts as a resource for staff, patients, and guests, addressing questions and resolving issues. Supports policy implementation and staff evaluation. Functions as needed to meet service deadlines and may perform opening/closing duties.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of foodservice operations.
• Coordinate staff scheduling, meetings, and performance monitoring.
• Ensure timely and quality delivery of services.
• Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff.
• Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Provide leadership in the absence of management.
• Contribute to data analysis and performance improvement initiatives.
• Perform additional duties such as cash handling, cooking, or patient meal rounds as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; relevant work experience or degree preferred.

Skills

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work cooperatively with staff.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and operational procedures essential.
