Pay Rate: $21.16 - $31.74 based on relevant experience + $2.00 shift differential if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operation of the Room Service Program, including the food prep line, hostess staff, dish room, and call center staff
• Supervise and close down the department, ensuring overnight staff arrives
• Delegate tasks and manage schedules during limited staffing in all areas of the department
• Schedule staff while remaining flexible to accommodate various scheduling conflicts
• Evaluate staff regularly and provide feedback for growth and development
• Monitor department practices and implement changes to improve meal quality and perception
• Interview, hire, and train new staff members
• Frequently interact with patients in their rooms under various treatments
• Coach and lead staff on following department policies and procedures
• Reconcile money from daily sales
• Navigate phone calls throughout the shift and take appropriate action

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Full range of supervisory and clerical skills (typing, filing, organizing, and bookkeeping)
• Computer-related activities proficiency
• Knowledgeable about quantity food production, catering, safety and sanitation, therapeutic diets, and customer service

Qualifications

• Preferred: IDPH Food Service Sanitation Certification
• Preferred: Dietary Manager Certification

Pay Status: Non-Exempt Hourly
