Floor Care Lead

About the role

The Floor Care Lead will coordinate activities within the Floor Care Program. Key responsibilities include inspecting and auditing areas, equipment, and working conditions to ensure compliance with sanitation and OSHA regulations. Additional duties include training and instructing employees, monitoring work activities, performing quality and safety inspections, tracking equipment and supply inventory, reporting issues, and maintaining records.

Responsibilities

• Train and instruct employees in tasks, safety, policies, and procedures
• Coordinate and monitor work activities
• Write reports, such as pass down, weekly, or monthly
• Perform quality, service, and safety inspections
• Track equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair
• Track supplies inventory and maintain
• Maintain records, including training, inspections, attendance, and metric data
• Report employee personnel and customer issues to supervisor
• Correct at-risk behavior immediately and report to supervisor
• Report accidents and incidents to supervisor immediately

Qualifications

• No formal education requirement, but 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience preferred
• Must have a valid driver’s license and completed all safety and task training certification
• May require forklift certification
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
• Knowledge of the upkeep and care of cleaning equipment
• Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
• Supervisory responsibilities not applicable
