About the Role
The Flight Paramedic functions in a versatile role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence. They provide advanced emergency and critical care in conjunction with a CareFlight Nurse during transport, utilizing evidence-based principles to ensure safe and rapid transport of critically ill or injured patients by air ambulance or mobile intensive care to a higher-level medical treatment facility. The role also includes public relations and medical education functions.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced emergency and critical care during medical transport.
- Collaborate with a CareFlight Nurse to transport critically ill or injured patients.
- Operate within scope of practice across Premier Health facilities.
- Engage in public relations and medical education activities.
Requirements
- High School completion or GED.
- Paramedic licensure in the State of Ohio.
- Certifications required at time of hire: BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
- Additional certifications required within specified timeframes:
- 90 Days: ITLS or PHTLS.
- 1 Year: NRP, ATLS (audit).
- 2 Years: CAMTS approved professional certification.
- Minimum 3–5 years of Paramedic experience with transport experience required.
- Preferred: Recent full-time active experience with a 911 Emergency Service Agency or MICU Transport Company.

Schedule
Part-time: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 48 hours per pay period.
