Flight Paramedic (On-Call/Relief)
About the role
Participates in various community relations activities, and assists in the planning and execution of a program that supports the community projects of the Kauai Police Department; and performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications
- A combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a baccalaureate degree, and one and one-half (1 1/2) years of responsible experience involving community or public service, social assistance or similar programs.
Skills
Knowledge of: basic functions, programs and services of the Kauai Police Department; characteristics and peculiarities of the community served; research methods and statistical procedures; the structure and functions and purposes of community organizations and interest groups; report writing.
Ability to: understand basic concepts pertinent to programs of the Kauai Police Department; communicate effectively; meet and deal tactfully and effectively with community leaders, civic and other interest groups; plan, organize and facilitate meetings and various other community gatherings; articulate with strong communication and organizational skills; multi-task with minimal supervision; prepare charts, graphs and other presentations; keep records and prepare reports.

Pay
Pay raises are negotiated by the respective union for this position.
Schedule
Irregular hours, including evening, holiday and weekend work as required.
