Fleet Manager - Full Time

Role Overview

Responsible for managing the on-site operations of a dedicated fleet, leading the fleet team to ensure on-time deliveries, optimal tractor utilization, safety compliance, and efficient reverse logistics. Develops and oversees the fleet budget and performance metrics, ensuring adherence to regulations and organizational goals.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage operations, dispatch, track, and report fleet results, focusing on delivery timeliness and safety.
• Collaborate on strategic planning to support fleet performance, expense management, and driver growth.
• Oversee driver training, payroll, retention, load dispatch, and equipment usage.
• Build driver relationships to enhance retention, addressing needs like home time and equipment issues.
• Conduct reporting, data analysis, and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven leadership in transportation, with knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations.
• Experience managing dedicated fleet operations and OTR drivers.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in transportation software and MS Office.
• Ability to thrive under stress; willingness to travel.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or Logistics preferred; experience managing 50+ drivers advantageous.
