Fleet Maintenance Manager (Full-Time)

About the role

This role involves managing the maintenance and repair of fleet equipment, including trucks, trailers, liftgates, yard trucks, and refrigeration units, ensuring safe and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanics and manage work orders
• Handle vehicle breakdowns and oversee emergency repairs
• Maintain safety compliance and conduct safety audits
• Ensure adherence to DOT, OSHA, EPA, and company policies
• Identify cost-saving opportunities in fleet maintenance
• Oversee the condition and organization of the repair facility
• Lead, coach, and develop team members
• Manage parts inventory and vendor relationships
• Support distribution operations as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Five years of fleet maintenance experience, including refrigeration units
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work in various weather conditions
• Capability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and manual labor
