About the Role
The Jay and Patty Baker School of Business and Technology seeks a dynamic faculty member to teach, innovate curriculum, mentor students, and oversee the cosmetics and fragrance laboratory. This role bridges industry and academia, preparing students for leadership in the global beauty sector through immersive, industry-responsive education. The department upholds ACBSP accreditation and fosters competencies like critical thinking, ethical responsibility, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate courses in Cosmetics and Fragrance Marketing (AAS and BS programs).
- Mentor students on academic and career pathways; support adjunct faculty.
- Manage and oversee the college’s cosmetics and fragrance laboratory (with technician support).
- Design, update, and implement innovative, industry-relevant curricula aligned with market trends.
- Participate in department/college committees, shared governance, and student recruitment.
- Foster industry partnerships to secure opportunities for students and the college.
- Engage in scholarly research, publications, and industry conferences/panels.
- Maintain active involvement in industry associations and networks.

- Globalism: Demonstrate understanding of the global beauty industry, including sustainability, multicultural sensitivity, and cross-border regulations.
- Instructional Design: Create academically rigorous courses integrating business practices, interdisciplinary programs, and industry connections.

Requirements
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a cosmetics/fragrance-related field (or in progress).
- 10+ years of professional experience in cosmetics/fragrance industries, with a focus on product development and laboratory management.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching experience in higher education or corporate training.
- Industry recognition (e.g., keynote presentations, panel participation).
- Global experience in the field.
Pay
Salary is based on education and experience, per the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) Salary Schedules:
- Instructor: $69,346.37 – $80,793.82
- Assistant Professor: $80,736.40 – $118,984.88
- Associate Professor: $94,498.31 – $142,271.78
- Professor: $115,232.32 – $173,403.37
