Fiscal Specialist 1 | Cougar Athletic Fund
The Opportunity
As the Fiscal Specialist, you will be a key member of the Washington State University Cougar Athletic Fund (CAF) team, supporting the financial and administrative systems that drive the organization's development operations. In this role, you will manage responsibilities related to gift processing and gift acknowledgement, donor data and information management, strategic planning and reporting systems, pledge processing, purchasing, and reconciliation activities. You will also support the PacFund database by updating patron account records, assisting with system management, generating reports, and supporting financial processes. As an integral contributor to the Cougar Athletic Fund, you will perform complex technical fiscal analysis and financial reporting, including analyzing, planning, interpreting, and reviewing financial information to support the CAF's operations and objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Three (3) years of fiscal record keeping experience; OR equivalent education/experience.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed to support events and CAF gameday operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Proficiency in working with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, and database systems.
- Experience working with Paciolan and CRM software.
- Experience working within higher education setting.
- Experience with researching and interpreting policies and procedures in a finance related field.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and perform sound decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with co-workers and constituents.
- Knowledge and understanding of applicable rules and regulations, including State of Washington, Washington State University, Athletic Department, NCAA, and Pac-12 Conference rules and regulations.
Additional Information
This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible. Location: Pullman, WA.
Pay
Monthly Salary: $3,653 to $4,866 | Range 40. Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28. In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
