The Financial Services Consultant is responsible for building and strengthening member relationships by identifying financial needs and recommending appropriate credit union products and services. This position works closely with Deposit and Lending Services, the Call Center, Marketing, and Business Development to support member growth and engagement.
The Financial Services Consultant actively promotes UECU products and services, conducts member outreach activities, and supports strategic sales initiatives. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, a commitment to exceptional member service, and the ability to effectively manage inquiries received through phone, email, online channels, and in-person interactions. The position also ensures compliance with credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while supporting UECU's Vision, Purpose, and Values.
Responsibilities
- Build and strengthen member relationships by identifying financial needs and recommending appropriate credit union products and services
- Promote UECU products and services and conduct member outreach activities
- Support strategic sales initiatives
- Manage inquiries received through phone, email, online channels, and in-person interactions
- Ensure compliance with credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of three years of customer service experience involving face-to-face and/or telephone interactions
- Familiarity with credit unions or the financial services industry
