About the role
As a Financial Counseling Representative, you will be a trusted guide for patients navigating insurance coverage, financial responsibility, and payment solutions. You’ll provide exceptional financial counseling support by helping patients understand insurance benefits, out-of-pocket costs, and financial assistance programs in a mission-driven healthcare revenue cycle environment.
Responsibilities
- Meet with patients to discuss payment options and financial assistance programs
- Verify insurance eligibility and explain benefits clearly
- Assist with Medicaid and financial assistance applications
- Build trust with patients during stressful financial situations
- Collaborate with care teams and revenue cycle departments
- Maintain accurate documentation across multiple systems
Requirements
- Exceptional customer service experience, communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrates genuine compassion, empathy, and patience when supporting patients, clients, and team members
- Ability to explain financial and insurance concepts clearly
- Ability to multitask and prioritize quickly with high attention to detail
- Professionalism with sensitive financial conversations
- High School Diploma or GED

Pay
For this US-based position, the base pay range is $20.48 - $27.54 per hour. Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
