ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Aid in implementing the accounting department's daily functions.
- Implement and standardize accounting procedures.
- Forward invoices to appropriate personnel for approval.
- Contact suppliers/vendors regarding invoice issues.
- Maintain a file of all issued charge slips, debits, and credits.
- Maintain accounts receivable and report delinquent accounts.
- Balance accounts receivable using tapes and computer printouts.
- Create and utilize computer reports and output.
- Prepare and mail monthly financial statements.
- Assist in preparing financial and statistical reports.
- Perform secretarial functions as needed.
- Attend and participate in relevant workshops and seminars.
- Participate in facility mandatory in-service training programs.
- Request repairs for office equipment as necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident care information.
- Report and address unauthorized disclosures of such information.
- Erect and ensure resident rights to fair and equitable treatment.
- Erect and ensure resident rights to self-determination, individuality, privacy, property, and civil rights.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least three (3) years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Experience with Medicaid and Medicare.
