ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Aid in implementing the accounting department's daily functions.
- Implement and standardize accounting procedures.
- Forward invoices to relevant personnel for approval.
- Contact suppliers/vendors regarding invoice discrepancies.
- Maintain a record of all charge slips, debits, and credits.
- Maintain accounts receivable and report overdue accounts.
- Prepare and balance monthly financial statements.
- Create and send resident statements.
- Provide reports and recommendations to the Accountant.
- Reconcile bank statements and prepare trial balances.
- Assist in preparing financial and statistical reports.
- Operate computers and process data as needed.
- Ensure proper signing and filing of resident admission contracts.
- Support changes in the accounting system as required.
- Perform secretarial tasks as necessary.
- Attend and participate in professional development activities.
- Participate in facility training programs.
- Report and handle confidential information securely.
- Maintain resident rights and ensure compliance with regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Experience with Medicaid and Medicare.
