ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Aid in implementing the accounting department's daily functions.
  • Implement and standardize accounting procedures.
  • Forward invoices to relevant personnel for approval.
  • Contact suppliers/vendors regarding invoice discrepancies.
  • Maintain a record of all charge slips, debits, and credits.
  • Maintain accounts receivable and report overdue accounts.
  • Prepare and balance monthly financial statements.
  • Create and send resident statements.
  • Provide reports and recommendations to the Accountant.
  • Reconcile bank statements and prepare trial balances.
  • Assist in preparing financial and statistical reports.
  • Operate computers and process data as needed.
  • Ensure proper signing and filing of resident admission contracts.
  • Support changes in the accounting system as required.
  • Perform secretarial tasks as necessary.
  • Attend and participate in professional development activities.
  • Participate in facility training programs.
  • Report and handle confidential information securely.
  • Maintain resident rights and ensure compliance with regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Experience with Medicaid and Medicare.
