About the role
The Finance Analyst supports financial analysis objectives by assisting in the administration of sound financial procedures and processes. This role involves monitoring annual budget processes and related forecasting, assisting with analytical work within business units, staying updated on industry and economic changes, resolving operational and tactical issues, and working with information systems.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor annual budget processes and related forecasting.
- Assist with analytical work performed within the business units ensuring accuracy and documentation in accordance with internal control, GAAP, and other agencies regulations.
- Stay informed about industry and economic changes and trends.
- Resolve operational and tactical issues as needed.
- Support Information Systems with requests and projects related to financial systems.
- Monitor and address potential mismanagement of resources.
- Collaborate with other global finance departments.
- Participate in lean initiatives.
- Answer questions regarding department programs.
- Aid in the creation and allocation of budgets for other departments.
- Navigate and evaluate multiple systems containing financial information.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
- CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Qualifications
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of technical, process, and business principles as well as industry practices and standards.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Proficient in SAP.
- Knowledge of GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles) and Sarbanes-Oxley.
Skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with SAP.
- Understanding of GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley.
