Field Service Engineer - Southern California
About the role
The Field Service Engineer (FSE) supports GE OEC equipment, focusing on South Los Angeles, the South Bay area of Los Angeles, and Orange County. Additional coverage is available throughout the Pacific Region.
Responsibilities
- Basic troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and service repair on designated equipment.
- Completing Preventative Maintenance and Field Modification Instructions.
- Ordering and managing repair parts cycle times.
- Maintaining customer service logs and internal service records.
- Maintaining daily communications with customers for resolution and follow-up.
- Maintaining tools and test equipment and ensuring calibration.
- Maintaining compliance with Health and Human Services, Environment Health and Safety, and other applicable regulations.
- Managing vendor service delivery processes in accordance with GE Healthcare policies.
- Utilizing the escalation process to resolve customer service delivery issues and conducting root cause analysis.
- Participating in sales opportunities such as contract renewals and assisting with revenue programs.
- Providing efficient service delivery to all accounts within assigned areas.
- Training clinical staff on designated equipment (may include).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent military education.
- Associates Degree with 2 years experience servicing electronic equipment, or 3 years of relevant experience combined with successful completion of the GEHC Field Service Engineer Apprentice Program.
- High School Diploma/GED and 12 or more years experience servicing electronic equipment.
- Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers.
- Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment.
- Experience troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns.

Pay
The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
