You will play a key leadership role in developing sales talent, elevating clinical and commercial capabilities, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and performance across the field.

Partnering closely with the Area Vice President, Director of Global Commercial Training, and Sales Training and Programs teams, you will assess readiness and deliver education that accelerates the development of both new and tenured sales representatives while supporting local healthcare professional (HCP) education programs.

Responsibilities

  • Coach and mentor peers and sales representatives through direct supervision, 1:1 calls, field rides, field coaching reports, and quarterly business reviews.
  • Build culture by mentoring new hires throughout their onboarding journey, providing supervision both remotely and in person, and teaching the three pillars: Commercial Selling Skills, Customer Knowledge, and Product Knowledge.
  • Create new educational content and experiences that accelerate skill development for both tenured and new advanced surgery sales representatives.
  • Partner with the Director of Global Commercial Training and the Area Vice President to identify, plan, and deliver training for all sales roles in the area.
  • Deliver training and hold regular in-person and virtual training meetings with internal customer groups based on business needs.
  • Shape the future of the sales workforce by facilitating comprehensive Baxter Advanced Surgery training, focusing on clinical and practical sales knowledge across the employee lifecycle.
  • Assist in leading regional/national sales meetings and facilitate new-product training and updates to existing materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or 8+ years of operating room sales experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with hospital-based selling in the OR, as well as coaching, training, or mentoring peers.
  • At least 50% travel is required, including visits to remote or urban areas, either individually or with other personnel. The role may span several states.
  • Proven experience coaching, mentoring, or training small teams and developing others toward measurable performance gains.
  • Knowledge of adult-learning methodologies and experience managing or creating medical education programs and content.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, along with strong customer-service skills.
  • Strong creative problem-solving and influence-management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate and participate in numerous projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Must live near a major metropolitan airport and hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (Baxter is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time).

Pay

The estimated pay range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000 annually. Individual pay is based on location, skills, expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position is also eligible for a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP), which provides the opportunity to earn incentive compensation for achieving or exceeding goals.
