Field Clerk
About the role
GARNEY CONSTRUCTION is seeking a Field Clerk to support the field operations team and corporate project coordinator at a construction job site.
Responsibilities
- Manages project documents that are received, copied, or scanned while ensuring their accuracy, quality, and integrity.
- Prints and organizes necessary meeting documents as requested and ensures meeting rooms are set up.
- Orders and maintains office supply inventory, including printing supplies.
- Provides notary services as needed.
- Captures, compiles, and distributes documents, meeting notes, and assignments.
- Aids in coordinating job site functions such as quarterly shutdowns, safety meetings, and specific lunches.
- Manages out-of-town living arrangements for some employee owners, including hotel rooms and apartments.
- Schedules drug screenings, background checks, and physicals for potential new hires.
- Assists in new hire paperwork, including I9 verification.
- Provides job coding for company credit purchases and matches receipt information.
- Performs other related administrative and technical duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
Document Control experience with manufacturing or construction is preferred. Must participate in all compliance-related training and maintain a safe workplace.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in document control or administrative support preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using document management systems.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to handle confidential information.

$20 - $25 per hour
Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
