FIELD APPLICATION ENGINEER
About the role
MVP is expanding its customer support base for North America and is seeking to hire a motivated technician/engineer who can fill this role. An ideal candidate would have experience in electronics or semiconductor manufacturing supporting AOI or other automated equipment. This role has the potential for long term growth inside MVP’s support organization.
Responsibilities
- Generation and debug of inspection programs using MVP’s programming software
- Provide Installation and Hardware support for our AOI systems
- Provide sales demonstrations
- Provide telephone and web support for all MVP's Hardware and Software solutions.
- Provide system calibration services for our AOI systems
- Travel to customer sites to support installed systems. Travel requirements may be 30% or greater
Requirements
- English Language Skills (Spanish an advantage)
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Self motivated with strong interpersonal and communications (verbal and written) skills
- Team player with positive attitude and willingness to teach others acquired knowledge
- Computer Literate (Linux an advantage)
- 2 year technical degree or equivalent.
- Must have a current driver's license and passport. Average 30% travel; up to 60% possible at times.

Technical Writer
Responsibilities
- Obtain a deep understanding of products and services to translate complex product information into simple, polished, and engaging content.
- Independently gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation.
- Using your deep understanding of MVP’s solutions write user-friendly content that meets the needs of the target audience, turning insights language that sets our users up for success with comprehensive documentation including:
- Detailed System and Software Operation
- Support and Service procedures.
- System installation and Safety.
- Develop and maintain detailed databases of appropriate reference materials, including research, usability tests, and design specifications.
- Evaluate current content and develop innovative approaches for documentation improvement.
Requirements
- 2-year technical degree or equivalent. (Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field is preferred).
- Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics.
- Strong English Language Skills.
- S. Citizenship required.
- Expert knowledge of Word, Photoshop, and Adobe tools.
- Team player with positive attitude and willingness to teach others acquired knowledge.
- Certification through the Society for Technical Communicators would be a bonus.
Production Inventory Clerk
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming materials and report if inventory arrives damaged.
- Keep thorough records of items received.
- Logs items received, by part number into computer system.
- Allocated inventory to the proper areas.
- Maintain a clean and safe stockroom
- Pulls and distributes parts to production personnel.
- Verifies documentation against physical stock and inventory counts.
- Issue components to assembly to satisfy daily, weekly and month schedules.
Stockroom Clerk Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Have a basic understanding of computers, Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and a good work ethic.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
