Position Overview

Rocketship Public Schools is seeking an outgoing and community-oriented Family Recruiter to engage with families in Milwaukee. This full-time, field-based position involves conducting outreach at various community events and guiding families through the enrollment process.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person outreach within neighborhoods and community events.
• Build relationships with community organizations and local businesses.
• Distribute informational materials and communicate Rocketship’s mission and enrollment opportunities.
• Generate interest among prospective families and encourage them to enroll.
• Support the enrollment process by responding to follow-up communications and assisting with events.
• Accurately track outreach activities and provide regular updates.
• Maintain confidentiality and confidentiality of student and family information.
• Collaborate with school-based teams and Office Managers.

• Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn new systems.
• Flexibility to work a flexible part-time schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Experience in community outreach, family engagement, or related fields is preferred.
• Knowledge of Milwaukee neighborhoods and community organizations.
• Spanish-speaking or other multilingual ability is preferred.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

The employee must be able to communicate with adults and children, use a computer or mobile device, and remain mobile for community outreach activities. The employee may need to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods; travel between outreach locations; work indoors and outdoors; and occasionally lift or transport recruitment materials. Exposure to varying weather conditions, crowded public environments, and moderate to high noise levels may occur.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly position offers a pay range of $20.00 to $25.50 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Benefits eligibility depends on scheduled hours and the applicable terms of Rocketship Public Schools' benefit plans.
