About the role
The Facilities Management and Capital Planning department oversees 62 state-owned courthouses and 42 leased facilities across ten counties. This position is essential personnel in emergencies and works 7am-3pm.
Responsibilities
- Supervises custodial staff and related work for multiple court facilities.
- Coordinates installations and repairs within assigned facilities.
- Ensures building cleanliness and infrastructure integrity.
- Manages job request computer system and outsourced vendor requests.
- Distributes job tasks and direction to employees.
- Prepares building status and incident reports for the Manager of Facilities.
- Initiates purchase requests and manages supply distribution.
- Develops and applies for incentive programs for efficient cleaning practices.
- Oversees and performs all aspects of building maintenance, including cleaning, repairs, projects, and equipment.
- Maintains a safe work environment and responds to facility emergencies.
- Conducts multiple daily walk-throughs of buildings.
- Coordinates preventative maintenance work on building systems.
- Assists with custodial equipment upkeep as necessary.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalency.
- At least five (5) years of related work experience, including time spent in an apprenticeship for a skilled trade license.
- Licenses in a skilled trade are a plus.
Qualifications
- Equivalent combinations of education and related experience will be considered.
- Knowledge of Trial Court Safety Policies and Procedures, workplace and public safety regulations, building codes, construction of commercial and industrial building applications, maintenance and construction costs, project management, computer programs and related software, green cleaning methods, and high efficiency building mechanical systems.
- Skills in multitasking, organization, prioritization, detail orientation, verbal and written communication, recognizing and correcting problem areas in facilities, providing clear instructions to employees, operating various types of cleaning, maintenance, and landscaping equipment, coordinating job tasks for staff, and supervisory responsibility.
Skills
- Understanding of purchasing policies and procedures.
Benefits
This position is designated as a Union position. All new hires must start at the entry level rate for this role per the collective bargaining agreement/MOA with OPEIU, Local 6. Pay may advance within the salary band according to the CBA/MOU.
Pay
$71,439.16 to $105,289.60 starting pay.
Schedule
Hours are 7am-3pm.
