Facilities Supervisor - Electrical Shop

About the role

As Shop Supervisor, you will manage Electrical shop operations, including time management, payroll, shift coverage, and scheduling. You will evaluate the performance and condition of systems, participate in planning and implementing upgrades or new equipment installations, and function as a mechanic trade expert to resolve complex system problems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee repairs efficiently and timely
• Order parts and equipment, and maintain inventory
• Troubleshoot equipment and supervise repairs or adjustments by shop staff
• Cooperate with Project Managers on system-related projects
• Maintain and update the on-site reference library and training center
• Resolve complex system issues
• Work with the Building Supervisor to organize team members for problem resolution
• Maintain adequate supply of materials and equipment
• Participate in vendor selection and prepare purchase requisitions
• Review completed job orders
• Ensure all work is captured on the CMMS system in a timely manner
• Attend and participate in weekly scheduling meetings with Planner/Schedulers

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 7-10 years in the electrical field
• Knowledge in the use of CMMS systems to organize and track staff work performance

Preferred Qualifications

• NYC Master Electrician License

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm, with occasional weekend shifts for emergency coverage.

Pay

Salary Range: $121,000–$148,500/Annual
