About the role
Mckesson is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to support the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of a highly automated pharmaceutical distribution center in Duluth, GA.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily facilities maintenance activities, including work performed by maintenance technicians, janitorial staff, vendors, and contractors.
- Support maintenance, troubleshooting, and oversight of industrial automation and material handling equipment, including sorters, conveyors, warehouse management systems, and related equipment.
- Cook up preventive maintenance, equipment audits, documentation, and record retention activities.
- Support compliance with safety, security, and regulatory protocols, including OSHA, FDA, DEA, PDMA, fire detection, and facility security expectations.
- Maintain and support facility security systems, including intrusion detection, access control, and camera systems.
- Oversee building cleanliness, internal/external maintenance, and facilities-related projects.
- Partner with vendors to gather estimates, coordinate repairs, manage contracts, and support budget expectations.
- Aid in MRO supply inventory, annual budget planning, and resource allocation.
- Support maintenance programs for electric forklifts, man-lifts, scrubbers, sweepers, and other facility equipment.
Requirements
- Typically requires 3+ years of subject matter experience including exhibiting leadership capabilities.
- 3+ years of facilities maintenance, facilities engineering, industrial maintenance, or related experience.
- Experience leading, coordinating, or directing maintenance work, facilities projects, technicians, contractors, or vendors.
- Working knowledge of PLCs, warehouse control systems, conveyors, sorters, automation, or material handling equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, or automation system prints/schematics.
- Experience using Microsoft Office or maintenance-related systems such as CMMS, warehouse control systems, or automation software.
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Associate degree, trade school certification, technical certification, or verifiable training in a relevant technical field.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, distribution, manufacturing, logistics, food processing, printing, or other highly automated environments.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley/Snyder PLCs, conveyors, stackers, sorters, or integrator-supported automation.
- Experience managing safety observations, training, audits, CCTV/security systems, or site safety programs.
- Vendor negotiation, contract management, project coordination, and budget support experience.
- Ability to build team accountability, prioritize maintenance needs, and communicate clearly across operations, leadership, and vendor partners.
Description Of Travel Or In-Office And Physical Requirements
- This is an onsite role in a distribution center/warehouse environment.
- Must be open to a Sunday–Thursday night shift schedule, with start time between approximately 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM, based on business needs.
- Less than 10% travel may be required for onboarding, training, or business needs.
- Must be able to meet general office and facilities work demands, including lifting/carrying items up to 100 pounds and climbing ladders.
- Must be able to operate or work around powered equipment such as scissor lifts, boom lifts, man-lifts, reach trucks, tuggers, scrubbers, and sweepers.
Pay Range
The pay range for this position is $66,800 - $111,300. The pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
