About the role

The Supervisor is responsible for directing and coaching employees. Key duties include leading team operations, managing recruitment and promotions, fostering a positive workplace, conducting performance reviews, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Solicits feedback from managers, team leads, and associates to manage performance and take corrective action when needed.
  • Recruits, hires, promotes, and terminates employees as necessary.
  • Ensures appropriate staffing levels and creates shift schedules based on workload.
  • Fosters a high degree of morale among associates through feedback, recognition, and rewards.
  • Conducts or delegates shift start-up meetings and communicates important information to team members.
  • Leads the performance review process and enters ratings in PEAK.
  • Prioritizes repairs to maintain peak production levels.
  • Finalizes payroll in Kronos and identifies opportunities to improve warehouse processes.
  • Trains technicians to meet warehouse standards and regulations.
  • Identifies and develops future team leaders within Milwaukee Tool.
  • Provides ongoing feedback and leads the annual performance evaluation process.
  • Establishes operational strategies to achieve department goals.
  • Ensures a clean and safe working environment.
  • Drives safety and culture initiatives, holding team members accountable for compliance.
  • Builds a cohesive team of technicians committed to department success.
  • Supports other departments and communicates effectively with them.

Requirements

Education equivalent to four years of high school. Requires unwavering focus on safety, leadership experience, results-oriented approach, strategic thinking, effective communication, ability to delegate, quick problem-solving, and a development mindset.

Qualifications

Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and through email. Must be able to delegate and manage multiple projects and priorities successfully. Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs and operate manual pallet jacks. Must be able to work in various temperature conditions and operate other equipment as needed.
