Maintenance Supervisor
Oversees the daily operations for the LaGrange facilities including the corporate office building, Manufacturing building, Storage buildings, Parking garage and designated lots and landscaped areas.
- Maintain facilities internal and external environmental systems in efficient working order.
- Provide housekeeping and maintenance support throughout the LaGrange and McCook facilities.
- Maintain all external properties including sidewalks, parking lots and landscaped areas which include parking lot inspections, snow removal and sprinkler irrigation inspections.
- Create and track work orders with the facility CMMS program.
- Assist the Facility Leader with asset management when new equipment is added or old equipment is decommissioned.
- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance along with visually inspecting and testing equipment & building systems for proper functionality.
- Able to work both as a team and independently to perform repairs and improvements in a variety of trades such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC and carpentry under the direction of the Facilities Leader.
- Absorb and schedule pickups of trash and environmental recycling.
- Under the direction of the Facility Leader, contract for outside professional repair services and assistance, as necessary.
- Aid with the maintenance of the building access, parking permits and the CCTV system.
- Plan and lead minor projects by sourcing quotations and making recommendations for materials with direction from the facility Leader.
- Strong communication and decision-making skills with the ability to handle emergency situations and resolve technical issues.
- Aid with purchase orders guided by the Facility Leader.
- Provide customer service to associates with concerns or suggestions regarding facilities or equipment safety.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises 1-2 associates in the Facilities Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk and hear. The associate is frequently required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
