Facilities Specialist

About the Role

This position is part of the Facilities Department located in Coralville, Iowa and will be on-site. At IDT, we are one global team that celebrates differences, engages in healthy debate, and fosters inclusion to accomplish great things together.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, calibrate, and repair laboratory and mechanical equipment
• Assist in developing SOPs, IQOQs, calibration templates, and work instructions for new and existing equipment
• Provide leadership in multiple areas of expertise
• Assist in developing ideas and making recommendations to management on improving or streamlining existing processes

Requirements

• Associate degree in engineering, maintenance, or related field OR several years of experience in a directly related technical role, such as facilities maintenance or engineering
• Demonstrated experience in technical writing, including the creation of manuals, user guides, or technical documentation
• Experience working with sketches, technical drawings, and blueprints

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements

• Ability to travel – 10%
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to walk, stand, bend/kneel/crouch, and lift, move, or carry equipment up to 50 lb

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering field
• 5+ years of experience in a skilled trades or facilities maintenance field, with at least 2 years of experience working with HVAC and mechanical systems
• Demonstrated ability to install, maintain, and calibrate Rees System sensors, and perform advanced troubleshooting and programming
• Proficient in SAP application for placing purchase requisitions and inventory/requisition lookup
