Facilities Coordinator
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily maintenance and repair activities for the school properties.
- Prioritize tasks to respond with the appropriate urgency as issues arise.
- Cookordinate resources to maintain school facilities in clean and safe conditions.
- Visit schools for evaluation of contractor performance and to support school staff.
- Develop effective supplier relationships.
- Cookordinate sourcing and bidding for annual contracts, service agreements and projects.
- Assist in operations related activities in support of schools and other properties.
- Management of various other projects as needed.
- Communicate effectively with school staff, management, and suppliers.
Administrative functions
- Add and update information in the maintenance management system.
- Cookordinate documentation related to facilities maintenance activities and assets.
- Create and manage facilities related schedules and records.
- Request purchase orders for facilities related services and supplies.
- Assist in project bid development and vendor selection.
- Administration of facilities related contracts.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience operating and learning to use computer-based systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Professional, punctual and self-motivated.
- Experience with basic project management processes.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or equivalent.
- Prior maintenance management experience.
- Experience using a facilities management system (CMMS).
- Experience working in an education setting.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual starting salary for this position is between $60,000 – $80,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
