Job Duties
- Develops and implements strategies for ensuring that the organization's food and beverage programs meet the needs of the organization's customers.
- Develops organizational food preparation and food safety standards and implements standards across corporate locations.
- Ensures that staff members are appropriately educated on the organization and its food and beverage offerings.
- Oversees planning and execution of banquets, catering, or other special events.
- Maintains food or labor costs, selects and maintains relationships with vendors, and negotiates bulk or volume discounts.
- Ensures that all sanitation, health and safety, and alcohol awareness regulations are met in regards to food, equipment, and supplies.
Experience
- Has extensive experience with the concepts and principles of one or more related fields or departments.
- Learns and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination.
- Serves as a leader in strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the department or function in collaboration with senior management.
- Establishes departmental policies, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization.

Physical Demands
- May be exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly.
- Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. occasionally.
- Must be able to tolerate extreme temperatures - i.e. freezers, loading dock.
Work Environment
- The person in this role works mostly in a service environment, with some office time reserved for administrative tasks.
Education And Experience
- Must have 7-10 years’ experience in the management of Food and Beverage operations.
- Culinary, sales and service background are required, including prior management experience.
- Requires a bachelor's degree.
- Experience in several F&B departments is required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any required licenses, certificates and permits.
