About the Role
Assist the Bartender in providing friendly and excellent service to every guest while maintaining a clean and stocked beverage area. Ensure strict adherence to all applicable laws and regulations regarding the safe and responsible sale and service of alcoholic beverages.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Tribal, Federal, and other laws and gaming regulations, as well as Kickapoo Lucky Eagle policies and procedures.
- Maintain the highest standards of guest service by listening and responding to guest and team member concerns.
- Support bartender(s) by maintaining a clean and organized lounge area at all bar locations.
- Welcome guests upon arrival, use guest names during interactions, remember preferences, and offer farewells.
- Keep all liquor, alcohol, and other beverages fully stocked in all bars and assigned areas.
- Frequently transport supplies and materials to and from coolers and storage areas.
- Quickly refill and restock bar areas that run out of supplies.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and orderly work environment in accordance with health and safety standards, including bar areas and storage areas.
- Ensure bar tops are clean, clear of glassware and debris, and ashtrays are clean and properly placed.
- Follow proper sanitation procedures, including maintaining soap and clean rags at each bartender's station.
- Restock garnishes, mixes, fruits, and condiments; cut fruits to specification and prepare condiment caddies.
- Ensure clean glassware is always available; change, organize kegs, liquor storage shelves, and soda bag-in-boxes as needed.
- Check glass washer for proper chemical mixture; soak and clean soda bag-in-box hoses and nozzles.
- Maintain par stock levels by placing orders for wine, champagne, beer, liquor, and perishables at the beginning, during, and end of each shift.
- Receive and deliver all products to appropriate outlets and stock according to par levels.
- Organize, sweep, and mop bar areas and storage areas; clean reach-in coolers and organize liquor storage shelves.
- Refill ice as needed and continuously monitor the bar to ensure timely beverage service for all guests.
- Abide by laws, policies, and procedures for the service and sale of alcoholic beverages; verify age for guests appearing under 30.
- Observe guest behavior to prevent intoxication and disorderly conduct.
- Handle guest issues promptly and professionally; communicate problems to management.
- Maintain knowledge of menus, promotions, programs, and gaming options (Slots, Poker, Bingo) to inform guests.
- Operate and maintain all equipment and utensils according to established guidelines and safety procedures.
- Stock service wells, set up, and break down service wells.
- Maintain a professional and neat appearance at all times.
- Display a courteous and friendly attitude toward all team members and guests.
- Accurately record all sales in the POS system and collect funds for products sold.
- Demonstrate and promote KLEC core values and MAD skills.
- Manage and maintain the security of confidential information.
- Attend and complete all required training as assigned.
- Monitor compliance with Federal currency transaction reporting requirements, Title 31, IRS Currency Transaction Reports, and Anti-Money Laundering policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain current TABC certification.
- Experience in bartending or food and beverage service (preferred).
- In-depth knowledge of wine and alcohol beverage preparation (preferred).
- Strong communication skills in English (written and oral); Spanish or other language skills a plus.
- Must understand and accept the risks involved with this position.

Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, climb, and bend for extended periods.
- Must concentrate for prolonged periods and possess close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
- Must communicate effectively in person or via telecommunications equipment.
- Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to operate equipment such as keyboards, touch-screen displays, telephones, and calculators.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Work Environment
- Casino floor and office setting with frequent walking and standing in a smoke-filled environment.
- Frequent contact with the general public in a temperature-controlled environment with varying noise levels.
- May be exposed to high noise levels, artificial lighting (fluorescent, flashing, strobe, colored lights), and stressful conditions.
- Extended hours and irregular shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- May require travel to perform essential functions.
Conditions of Employment
- Must obtain and retain a KTTT Gaming Commission License, including a successful background check.
- Must provide authorization to work in the United States and be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have reliable transportation to commute to and from work.
- Must comply with KLEC handbook, internal policies, and gaming regulations.
- Must participate in the tip reporting program.
