Extrusion Operator I

Key Responsibilities

• Lifts and positions raw materials manually or with PIT equipment.
• Affixes and positions pelletizer head using hand tools.
• Blends, extrudes, and sizes plastic pellets.
• Sets and adjusts controls based on specifications.
• Affixes and replaces machine parts or notifies supervisors.
• Fed materials through machines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications And Requirements

• Able to be forklift certified.
• Ability to read and interpret documents.
• Requires movement throughout the plant, lifting up to 35 pounds, and operating machinery.
• Crouching, bending, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Basic math skills required.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• 1-year machine operator experience preferred.
