About the role

This role involves processing materials and manufacturing products in an industrial setting. The primary responsibility is to ensure the quality and safety of the produced film.

Responsibilities

  • Perform timely and accurate quality checks on products including thickness, width, clarity, and consistency.
  • Maintain correct counts and label finished goods accurately.
  • Adhere to production schedules to meet customer delivery deadlines.
  • Adjust machine settings and parameters to meet production and quality standards.
  • Read and interpret order sheets and communicate with team members and supervisors to address production issues.
  • Troubleshoot minor machine and equipment issues as they arise.
  • Operate and monitor resin conveying systems and blenders.
  • Assist in training new team members as needed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in product quality and efficiency.
  • Provide coverage for peers during breaks to maintain workflow continuity.
  • Conduct changeovers, including air ring adjustments, die setups, and temperature controls.
  • Operate bag machines and winders.
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and monitor standard run rates.

Requirements

  • Experience with extrusion or similar manufacturing processes in any industry (preferred in blown film or injection molding).
  • Basic math skills for measurements, weights, and production tracking.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to quality standards.
  • Ability to work in a non-temperature controlled environment.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to read and use a tape measure.
  • Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, rotating between 3 days on and 2 days off, with night shifts from 6:50 PM to 7:00 AM.
  • Bi-lingual proficiency is preferred but not required.
  • A commitment to working in a customer-driven, safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in extrusion or similar manufacturing processes.

Pay

$18 - $20 per hour based on experience.

Schedule

Rotating 12-hour shifts, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on. Night shifts from 6:50 PM to 7:00 AM.
