Experienced Oncology Nurse- Outpatient Infusion Oncology Full Time Days

About the role

As an integral part of the Northwestern Medicine team, you will join a patient-first organization dedicated to advancing healthcare. This role is within the NM Developmental Therapeutics unit, a small yet mighty clinic offering an engaging and supportive team-oriented environment. The Clinical Nurse-Outpatient Infusion Oncology Early Phase Clinical Trials position involves providing direct patient care to phase 1/2 clinical trial oncology patients, administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and investigational medications, and executing clinical trial responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Advocate:

Requirements

• At least one year of oncology experience with an active chemotherapy/biotherapy certification.
• Research experience is desired but not required.
• OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN accredited school/college of nursing.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or higher.
• Current State of Illinois, Registered Professional Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
• Analytic ability (conceptual and quantitative).
• Strong oral, listening, and written communication skills.
• Strong human relation skills to interact effectively and collaborate with others in difficult situations.
• Ability to use a keyboard to enter or retrieve data.
• Experience in a specific clinical area (preferred).
• Nursing specialty certification, if eligible (preferred).
