Clinical Nurse- Outpatient Infusion Oncology Full Time Days

About the role

As a Clinical Nurse in the Outpatient Infusion Oncology Early Phase Clinical Trials unit at NM Developmental Therapeutics, you will provide direct patient care to phase 1/2 clinical trial oncology patients. This includes administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and investigational medications, as well as executing clinical trial responsibilities. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care based on disease type and complete required documentation and study-related activities per research protocols.

This is a full-time, days position in a small yet mighty clinic with an engaging and supportive team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Advocate:

Requirements

• At least one year of oncology experience with an active chemotherapy/biotherapy certification.
• Research experience is desired but not required.
• OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Required:
  • Graduate of an NLN accredited school/college of nursing.
  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or higher.
  • Current State of Illinois, Registered Professional Nurse license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR through the American Heart Association.
  • Analytic ability (conceptual and quantitative).
  • Oral, listening, and written communication skills.
  • Strong human relation skills to interact effectively and collaborate with others in difficult situations.
  • Use of a keyboard to enter or retrieve data.
• Preferred:
  • Experience in a specific clinical area.
  • Nursing specialty certification, if eligible.
