About the role
We are seeking an Oncology Infusion Therapy Nurse to deliver safe, evidence-based chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies in outpatient settings. This role focuses on providing culturally sensitive, patient-centered care that addresses biological, emotional, and educational needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments.
- Administer complex oncology treatments, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care.
- Ensure accuracy in documentation and adherence to healthcare standards and policies.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and participate in organizational performance improvement activities.
- Act as a mentor and preceptor for nursing staff and students.
- Promote research and evidence-based practices in oncology care.
- Contribute to protocol development and resource management.
- Maintain professional development through continuing education and specialty certifications.
Requirements
- Associate or Diploma in Nursing (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Current licensure and certification as required for oncology nursing practice.
