Expediter/Food Runner
About the role
Upstream Hospitality Group is an ever-growing hospitality group focused on creativity, progression, and originality. We seek an Expeditor/Food Runner who excels in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, communicates clearly, stays organized under pressure, and is ready to bring positivity to every shift.
Responsibilities
- Ensure timely, accurate, and professional delivery of food to guests.
- Confirm every dish meets presentation and preparation standards before leaving the kitchen.
- Review orders for special instructions, dietary needs, and modifications.
- Communicate guest feedback, concerns, or additional requests to servers and managers.
- Greet guests warmly and contribute to an outstanding dining experience.
- Support the front-of-house and back-of-house teams by staying proactive and engaged.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace policies.
- Assist with additional duties to help the team and maintain smooth restaurant operations.
Requirements
- Ability to carry multiple plates, trays, and beverages safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Comfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for the duration of your shift.
- A positive attitude and commitment to being a reliable team member.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a similar role preferred.
