Executive Underwriter, Corporate Accounts
About the role
This Executive Underwriter, Corporate Accounts role will be an ideal opportunity to develop your experience and expertise with AIG's Primary Accounts Casualty Group. Underwriting AIG underwriting teams help to find insurance solutions in areas including Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, Multinational Clients, and High Net Worth individuals. Responsibilities
- Focus on underwriting new and renewal business in the Region to help drive the profitable growth of our Primary Casualty group.
- Avoid underwriting loss sensitive (deductible/SIR) and guaranteed cost business for the following lines of business: Workers Compensation, General Liability and Commercial Auto Liability.
- Collaborate with brokers to communicate risk appetite and our value proposition – and to understand the deal structures, terms and conditions and products that best meets clients’ needs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers to ensure a desirable flow of new business and to maintain renewal business.
- Participate in business travel as required to support client relationships and foster business development.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years experience underwriting Primary Casualty business.
- CPCU, ARM, or other insurance designations are a plus.
- Proven experience and expertise in underwriting both Loss Sensitive (deductible/SIR) and Guaranteed Cost program structures.
- Serve as a mentor and key training resource for the team.
- Established relationships with regional brokers handling Primary Casualty/Upper Middle Market business.

- Strong presentation, negotiation, communication, and business development skills.
- Strong Analytical and quantitative skills; familiarity with actuarial data and pricing models.
- Demonstrated ability to generate profitable new business.

- Excellent service to brokers through a consistent, timely, and proactive approach to underwriting.
- Expand your broker network, represent AIG at internal and external meetings/broker events, and build new relationships across the market.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000. In addition, the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
Schedule
This role is based in New York and requires participation in business travel as required to support client relationships and foster business development.
