About the role
This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a thought partner and operational right hand to senior executives
- Maintain situational awareness of leadership priorities, anticipating needs and proactively managing shifting demands
- Build trusted relationships across internal teams and external partners
- Manage complex, high-volume calendars across time zones
- Coordinate internal and external meetings with precision, optimizing for priority, flow, and flexibility
- Act as gatekeeper and gateway — balancing access with focus time
- Coordinate detailed domestic and international travel: flights, accommodations, ground transportation, meeting prep, and contingency planning
- Manage pre-travel briefing materials and ensure executives are always one step ahead
- Submit timely, accurate expense reports aligned with internal policy
- Draft, edit, and manage correspondence on behalf of senior leaders — maintaining tone, clarity, and context
- Act as a liaison across departments and with internal and external partners, managing sensitive communications with discretion
- Handle confidential information and decisions with integrity and tact
- Drive special projects from ideation to execution (e.g., hiring efforts, onboarding programs, team offsites, executive reporting)
- Help translate big-picture priorities into actionable steps and ensure follow-through
- Improve and evolve internal workflows, templates, and processes
- Plan and execute key internal events including team offsites, technical milestone celebrations, executive reviews, and all-hands meetings
- Coordinate logistics, communications, guest management, and post-event follow-up
- Develop and lead team morale initiatives — from recognition programs and surprise appreciation moments to inclusive team-building events
- Partner with People/HR and site leadership to foster a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and mission-alignment
- Track event budgets, success metrics, and feedback to continually improve future experiences
Requirements
We're looking for a strong mix of experience, poise, and mission alignment:
- 5+ years supporting senior executives in fast-paced, high-accountability environments (startups, aerospace, tech, VC-backed firms, or similar)
- Demonstrated success operating with executive-level discretion, trust, and emotional intelligence
- Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with Visio, and Acrobat
- Strong communication skills: written, verbal, and contextual
- Self-starter with strong prioritization skills and the ability to stay grounded under pressure
- Able to adapt to flexible hours and travel schedules with the ability to travel as needed
Qualifications
Bonus Points For Experience supporting executives in aerospace, engineering, manufacturing, or regulated industries
Operational experience in environments with safety, compliance, or technical documentation
