Responsibilities

  • Provide security to public attendees at a ticketed event or an event open to the public.
  • Oversight and operation of detective devices to screen individuals and prevent the passage of prohibited items into UBS Arena.
  • Write reports to document incidents involving guests, employees, and unusual occurrences.
  • Aid in training and coaching all part-time security officers.
  • Build cross-functional relationships within the organization and with partners.
  • Switch gears on a moment’s notice and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Take ownership of your work and of your projects from start to finish with keen attention to detail.
  • Bring positive energy and a can-do attitude to the role every day.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to function independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Flexible schedule, including long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Comfortable working with the public and strong interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Active NYS Security License.
  • Ability and interpersonal skills to effectively service guests, clients, and employees.
  • Team player and self-motivator.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills while focusing on the solutions in every case.

About the Venue

UBS Arena at Belmont Park is a premier entertainment and sports venue located in New York. It is the home of the New York Islanders and was developed in partnership with Oak View Group, the New York Islanders, and Jeff Wilpon. The arena opened in November 2021 and has hosted numerous top artists, including Harry Styles, Sebastian Maniscalco, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, TWICE, Eagles, John Mayer, Kendrick Lamar, and Post Malone. UBS Arena is known for its clear sightlines and premier acoustics, and it has received LEED Green Building Certification and achieved carbon neutrality for operations.
