Event Security Officer | Part-Time | UBS Arena

Responsibilities

• Provide overall security for all ticketed and non-ticketed events.
• Service guests, clients, and employees with the ability and interpersonal skills.
• Work as a team player and self-motivator.
• Work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Work all assigned posts.
• Use company-provided and approved communication devices such as two-way radios.
• Operate detecting devices and equipment to screen all individuals and prevent prohibited items.
• Write reports to document incidents involving guests and employees.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of previous experience in an Event Security role preferred.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to function independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Comfortable working with the public and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must hold and maintain an active NYS Security License.

About The Venue

UBS Arena at Belmont Park is a premier entertainment and sports venue developed in partnership with Oak View Group, the New York Islanders, and Jeff Wilpon. It opened in November 2021 and has hosted top artists and teams like Harry Styles, Sebastian Maniscalco, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, TWICE, Eagles, John Mayer, Kendrick Lamar, and Post Malone. The venue is known for its clear sightlines, premier acoustics, and sustainability efforts, including LEED Green Building Certification and carbon neutrality.

Pay

$23.55 per hour (per CBA).
