About the Role

The Event Operations Lead will assist the Event Marketing Operations Manager and Lead in executing high-profile events such as Winter X Games, Bud Light Hi-Fi concerts, NASTAR races, KickAspen Big Air, and Slash the Mass Snowmass Banked Slalom. This is a seasonal/temporary position within the Event Marketing Department, with dates dependent on upcoming events. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and works well on a dynamic team. This position reports to the Director of Operations.

The targeted pay rate for this position is $24–$26 per hour, dependent on budget and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Event Manager/Event Lead with on-site execution at Aspen Skiing Company events
  • Operate snowmobiles to shuttle athletes to and from competition start gates
  • Coordinate the use of all event inventories under the guidance of the Event Venue Manager
  • Execute ASC sponsorship activations
  • Perform event duties including installing signage, banners, fencing, and parking lot management
  • Assist in the setup and teardown of race infrastructure, such as fencing, signage, and safety equipment
  • Communicate effectively with team members to adapt to event needs
  • Uphold safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for athletes, staff, and spectators
  • Work non-traditional hours in non-traditional settings
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • College degree preferred
  • 3–5 years of previous experience in ski resort operations or event logistics required
  • Ability to ski or snowboard required
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures and basic industry terminology
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and event staff
  • Proficiency in skiing or snowboarding with the ability to maneuver on steep and variable terrain
  • Ability to work in physically demanding outdoor conditions, including cold temperatures and heavy snowfall
  • Leadership ability to guide team members
  • Attention to detail for proper course setup and maintenance
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions and event requirements

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, bend, or be on your feet for extended periods
  • Regularly work in wet, cold, or hot conditions, requiring protective apparel/equipment
  • May be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
  • Must be able to frequently lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
