Meeting and Event Operations Lead

About the role

Oversee the efficiency and continuous improvement of the organization's meeting, event, and concierge program. Partner with cross-functional teams such as Travel Services, Live Production, Facilities, Food Services, Procurement, and IT to boost service delivery, improve processes, and support high-visibility events. Gather and analyze business partner feedback through collaborator engagement, focus groups, utilization data, and industry insights to identify trends, drive operational improvements, and optimize processes.

Lead the maintenance and enhancement of event-related information channels, including employee-facing SharePoint sites, onsite digital displays, and event support resources, ensuring business partners have access to accurate and timely information. Serve as a backup to the concierge and event specialist during periods of high demand, coordinating room reservations and sharing information with internal teams, vendors, and service providers to ensure successful events.

This is a hybrid remote position; candidates must currently be located in Cleveland, Ohio.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve service delivery and support high-visibility events.
  • Analyze feedback and data to identify trends and drive operational improvements.
  • Maintain and enhance event-related information channels (e.g., SharePoint, digital displays).
  • Serve as a backup for concierge and event specialist roles during high-demand periods.
  • Coordinate room reservations and event logistics with internal teams, vendors, and service providers.

Requirements

Must meet one of the following qualifications:

  • High School diploma/GED equivalent or higher and a minimum of eight years of experience in event planning, corporate hospitality, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in hospitality management, business, or a related field and a minimum of five years of experience in event planning, corporate hospitality, or a related field.

This position requires a valid driver's license and auto insurance, as well as compliance with Progressive's driving standards and/or policies.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting and scheduling high-volume, large-scale corporate meetings and events for a recognizable brand, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise event management, room booking, or workplace reservation platforms used to manage space and scheduling at scale.
  • Hospitality experience partnering across cross-functional teams (e.g., AV/live production, facilities, food services, travel, IT) to deliver coordinated event solutions within established processes.
  • Experience using event utilization data, surveys, and focus groups to identify trends and opportunity areas, develop data-driven recommendations, and lead process improvements that increase operational efficiency and improve service delivery.
  • Experience leading change management initiatives and communication strategies, partnering with collaborators to drive awareness, adoption, and sustainment of process, space, and service changes through Microsoft Teams, email, SharePoint, and digital display communications.

Pay

$61,300 - $81,700/year, plus an annual Gainshare cash incentive payment up to 24% of your eligible earnings based on company performance.
