About the role
As the Event Operations & Sales Manager, you are the leader on-site. You'll oversee event staff, ensure smooth operations, maintain a high-energy customer experience, and help drive sales performance throughout the weekend. This is not a desk job. You'll be actively leading your team, engaging customers, and making key decisions throughout the event.
Responsibilities
- Lead weekend event operations from setup through breakdown
- Supervise and support a team of 2–6 event staff members
- Coach employees on customer engagement and sales techniques
- Maintain team performance and help drive event revenue goals
- Interact directly with parents, athletes, and coaches
- Resolve customer concerns and operational challenges as they arise
- Cook up event logistics, equipment, and workflow
- Oversee photography stations, printing operations, and order fulfillment
- Ensure a positive experience for customers and team members
- Complete weekly planning and event preparation activities
Requirements
- Previous experience as a team lead, supervisor, manager, assistant manager, coach, educator, program leader, or similar leadership role
- Ability to lead teams in fast-paced environments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Solid technical aptitude
- Weekend availability (Friday–Sunday)
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Comfortable driving a company vehicle
- Ability to work outdoors and remain active throughout the day
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout the region
Qualifications
- Education and/or certifications relevant to the field
- Experience with event planning and management
- Knowledge of photography and photo editing software
- Experience with customer service and sales
