Event Operations Team Member
Overview
Bring events to life! Join our team at the Melton Student Center and Student Activities Center, where you'll assist with dynamic event set-ups, seamless breakdowns, and cutting-edge audio-visual support.
Responsibilities
- Move and arrange furniture and equipment needed for various customer events, including tables, chairs, staging, and podiums
- Aid building staff with cleaning spaces before and after events
- Aid with audio-visual set-up including data projectors, microphones, and speakers for events in the Student Center
- Understand how to read diagrams and room set-up sheets and be able to set up spaces according to those diagrams
- Attend all mandatory meetings and trainings
- Arrive promptly for shifts, dressed in provided uniforms, presenting a professional appearance and enthusiastic team attitude
Qualifications
- Enrolled student at Auburn University
- Expectations: Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0, an outgoing person willing to engage with customer population, available to work weekdays and weekends, including mornings and evenings, able to work in a team environment, able to lift heavy equipment (25lbs or greater), previous event operations experience, possess some working knowledge of audio-visual equipment, must be available to work nights and weekends, availability to work during semester breaks preferred
