Event Operations Crew Member

About the Role

This person is responsible for preparing all aspects in preparation for high-end events, such as weddings and galas. Responsibilities include safely driving company vehicles to and from elite venues carrying fragile and expensive props and floral arrangements, as well as assisting and leading on-site teams to achieve desired event results.

Responsibilities

• Repeatedly lift, load, and offload boxes, tables, carts, and floral arrangements
• General product and prop assembly and preparation while meeting deadlines
• Accurately load and unload trucks for events in a timely and safe manner
• Maintain a safe, organized, and tidy work environment
• Safely drive non-CDL trucks to and from events
• Fleet fueling and upkeep
• Shipping and receiving

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Delegate attainable tasks to team members
• Meet deadlines with accuracy in a fast-paced environment
• Make sound judgments and think critically
• Motivate and keep team members on task
• Brainstorm installation challenges with supervisors

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• English speaking is required; bilingual is a plus
• Basic knowledge of hand tools
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to navigate using a hand truck, dolly, tool carts, and ladders
• Physical movement includes walking, bending, stooping, standing, and climbing
• Ability to remain stationary depending on the task or shift
• Ability to push/pull up to 100 lbs with team members occasionally
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs frequently

Schedule

The typical work schedule can include nights, weekends, and holidays. Employee availability is required during seasonal high-volume periods (November to April).
